I live in a joint family consisting of myself, my parents, my uncle, my aunt, my grandma and my cousin sister. This incident happened when I was 19 years old.

My father had a stable job and thus could afford some luxuries like a car, outings, a vacation home and so on. My uncle, on the other hand, has his own business of garments. Unfortunately, it was not doing well. He had taken multiple loans, and they were due for payment.
